Aaron
Clarke and Mike Gooch Re-Sign for 2008-2009
The
Wheeling Nailers have announced their first player signings of the 2008-09
season. Forward Aaron Clarke and defenseman Mike Gooch have re-signed
for the upcoming season.
Clarke was a huge rookie surprise last season, after starting
the year on the injured list. He picked up 19 goals 17 assists for 36
points, while playing in 60 games with the Nailers. Coach Puhalski is
happy to have Aaron Clarke on board for another season.
Mike Gooch joined the team late in the season, and played in

signed him for his true rookie season. Gooch is having his jersey
retired from Neumann College, where in 25 games last season he had four goals
and 28 helpers for 32 points.

season, against the Cincinnati Cyclones, at WesBanco Arena. You can hear the Nailers,
on their new radio station, The Mix WK97.3 and ESPN Radio 1250 AM, the pre-game show starts 30 minutes before the puck
drops.
