Nailers Acquire Three Players from Columbia

The Wheeling Nailers have announced that they have completed their trade with the Columbia Inferno, by acquiring the rights to defensemen Tyson Marsh and Julien Brouillette, as well as forward Steve McJannett.  The trade completed the Mar. 5th deal that sent Chris Brooks and Jeremy Swanson to Columbia.  The trade needed to be completed, as soon as the Inferno were eliminated from the Kelly Cup Playoffs, as they will not be a part of the 2008-09 season, and the rest of Columbia's players were deemed unrestricted free agents.
Marsh played in 61 games with the Inferno picking up three goals 14 assists for 17 points on the season.  He did not play for the Inferno in the playoffs, as he had late-season call up to the Rockford Ice Hogs of the AHL, where he had four points on two goals and two assists in 11 games.  Marsh is currently playing with the Ice Hogs in the AHL playoffs.
Brouillette played in 67 games with the Inferno this past season, and picked up 17 points with six goals and 11 assists.  He was also productive in the Inferno's playoff run, as in 13 games he had four assists.  Brouillette is an offensive minded defenseman, and would be a great addition to the Nailers in 2008-09.
McJannett is a tough forward, who played in 54 games with Columbia and lit the lamp 20 times, and picked up 16 helpers for 36 points.  During Columbia's playoff run, he was second on the team in scoring with 12 points on one goal and 11 assists in 13 games.
